Conflict of Commitment and Outside Activities

Background on UCR'S Conflict of Commitment and Outside Activities Reporting System

The UC Conflict and Commitment and Outside Activities policies were revised effective July 1, 2014. The Conflict of Commitment site has been updated to include the new requirements for APM-025 and APM-671. The site is available to accept annual reports for the 2018-2019 FY (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019).

The University of California APM-025 policy on conflict of commitment and outside activities of faculty members provides guidance for the identification and management of outside professional activities in order to avoid conflicts of commitment, while assuring that faculty (see APM - 025-14-a for a list of faculty titles subject to this policy) may engage in a wide array of outside activities without unnecessary limitations. This policy is specific to general campus faculty holding appointments greater than or equal to 50% and HSCP faculty with appointment percentages less than or equal to 50%.

The University of California APM-671 policy on conflict of commitment and outside activities and the disposition of income earned from outside professional activities provides guidance for the identification and management of outside professional activities in order to avoid conflicts of commitment, while assuring that Health Sciences Compensation Plan (the "Plan") participants may engage in a wide array of outside activities without unnecessary limitations. This policy is specific to faculty members who are participants in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

If you have any questions about the policy or need assistance with the using the site please contact Danessa Murdock in the Academic Personnel Office via email at academicpersonnel@ucr.edu.
